Fritos Chips Any One Have A Recipe For Home Made Corn Chips - Like Fritos?

Any one have a recipe for home made corn chips - like Fritos? - fritos chips

Many years in the Dallas Morning News and Times Herald newspaper, I cut a recipe for chip fat "reduction of maize." It was the cornmeal, boiling water, butter and salt ... Drops in a teaspoon of baking sheet and with the bottom of a glass of flattened ... Column was written by a well-known as Clementine Paddleford. Often this is not hard to do, but we do. The chips were baked and not fried, which was dirty ... Unfortunately, as crisp today. They have never been so delicious that liittle Fritos and a lighter in texture. My problem is ... I have ... As cornmeal ... Quantity of boiling water, etc. Can anyone help?

It looks like what you are looking for --

Homemade Corn Chips

1 / cup yellow cornmeal 2
Salt 1 / 2 teaspoon
3 / 4 cup boiling water
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon butter or margarine

Oven to 450 ˚ C.
Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
Pour 1 cup boiling water and stir to give.
Add butter and stir until it melts.
The remaining 3 / 4 cup boiling water, stirring constantly.
Drop teaspoons of mixture into a well-painted greased baking pan and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until they are brown.
Factory chips about 3 dozen.

The reference to the flattening of the bottom of a glass, but that sounds like a good idea.

Good luck! ~ - ~

Best Corn Chips

6 small corn tortillas
Corn or vegetable oil (for frying)
Salt

Heat the oil in a small pan over medium heat.
Place tortillas in a pan. Carefully turn the tortilla. Bake until they are brown.
Salt immediately after removing from the pan.
Repeat for remaining tortillas.
Used to break into smaller pieces.

Super easy!
